Today I want to introduce you Alexandra Wallace, a photographer (and artist!) from California who takes absolutely stunning images. Seriously - you should go and check out her blog! She's offering one of you the chance to win an 8x10 print from her shop (I'm kinda jealous here people, because I'm totally in love with this). For simplicity I'm using Rafflecopter + the winner will be chosen using random.org. The giveaways open for a week and the winner will be announced on the blog! I'll also shoot you an email to let you know + you can get in touch with Alexandra to choose your print - how exciting!
I asked Alexandra to send me a short bio and answer a couple of questions... so here she is!
Alexandra Wallace is a California born-and-raised photographer and visual artist. She has photographed across the globe, ranging from the American Midwest, to western Europe, to the shores of her hometown.
1. When did you first get into photography?
I was raised with photography, but I started really getting into it myself when I was around fourteen or fifteen. I started off with 35mm, and just within the last year and a half "went digital".
2. What is your favourite thing to shoot, and why? People! Always :)
3. Are there any photographers in particular that inspire you? Particular images?
Autumn DeWilde, Rosie Hardy, and of course, the legend Annie Leibovitz. I've included some images of my favorites of theirs.
|Fun fact: This was taken about forty minutes away from my house.|
4. If you had to give a number one tip for someone wanting to improve their photography, what would it be?
Just keep at it! I don't think there's any key secret that I or any other photographer [or artist, for that matter] can give that will move mountains. You just honestly have to love something enough that you're willing to keep working at it, no matter what.
5. Finally, tell me something about yourself!
I also do ink drawings and watercolors! It's super relaxing for me, and I've got a pretty big stack of them going :)
